Flood Preparation Information





With the abundance of snow that we have received this winter both in the valley and in the mountains, there is a very real possibility of some flooding as temperatures begin to warm. We are very grateful for the moisture and hope and pray that warming will be gradual, but it's good to be prepared if that isn't the case. 

The county has been made aware of some possible problem areas and community members are filling sandbags in preparation. There is additional sand and bags behind and to the east of the fire station if needed. The following information has also been shared with us by Jason Bradley, Emergency Operations Manager for Washington County:
