Activities

If people don’t think there is much to do in our little remote valley, they haven’t heard about the Pine Valley activities. Many and varied activities in Pine Valley Community are planned and carried our by our activities committee and by community members. Presently the activities committee is made up of these members:
  • Doug and Janet Labrum, Chairmen
  • Sharron Northington
  • Laurett Winterton
  • Reva Brooks
  • Kirk and Joan Smith
  • Bob and Sharon Dalley
Everyone in the valley is welcomed and encouraged to come to the activities. If you are only here part time, come! If family is visiting bring them along! We are always flexible in our attendance projections so we can celebrate with small groups or large crowds.

Activities that are traditionally held each year include the following, often with a few others added when needed. Dates and information for these will be posted on the calendar with links for more specific information if needed.
  • Valentines Day Party
  • 4th of July Celebration
  • 24th of July Celebration
  • Special Service District Barbeque
  • Labor Day Celebration
  • Fall “Shindig”
  • Halloween Party
  • Christmas Party
All women in the valley are also invited to the monthly meetings of the Relief Society, which is planned and hosted by the women’s organization of the LDS Church. Activities vary and have included service projects, cooking or craft demonstrations, and a tour of the historic homes of Pine Valley. In addition to scheduled monthly meetings, there are other activities such as the book club and the a meeting focusing on health and nutrition called “Waist Management.” To find more about these meetings contact:
  • Marge Shakespear, Relief Society President
  • Kori Ford, Activities Counselor
