Thanks Pine Valley!
Thanks to the army of community members who came out yesterday to fill sandbags! Hundreds of bags were filled in preparation for more possible rain this week, and bags were taken to at least twenty more homes in addition to the ones delivered and placed earlier in the week.

Call or Text to be Added to Standby List for Flood Mitigation
A list of willing and able community members is being assembled in case we have flooding. If you could be on standby to help fill or move sandbags or perform other needed tasks, please call or text Mark Owens at 435-703-5363 as soon as possible. We would need at least 15 or 20 men if the need arises, and with this rain, it’s looking like we might. Please also include in your text or call whether you have a trailer and/or truck. Both will be needed if we are trying to minimize flood damage.
Thanks in advance for your willingness. Also, thanks to all of those who helped fill sandbags yesterday! Having them ready helps us to act much more quickly.

Sand Bags Prepared for Possible Blooding
Bob Dalley, who is a member of the Fire Department has asked me to share this information with the community:
On Thursday March 9, members of the Branch, the PV fire department and community members gathered together and on a proactive basis, prepared 250-300 sand bags--just in case. Some bags have been positioned in known flooding areas while about 150-175 remain at the fire station parking lot. We appreciate the selfless service of all involved.
Rain is forecasted over the next few days and with the significant snow on the ground the possibility exists for flooding.
While the sand bags remain at the fire station and are available for community use, we'd ask that you not use the bags unless you're highly confident a problem will exist. If flood trouble seems to be approaching your home, call 911. The PVFD will respond as timely as possible. Friends and neighbors should also be enlisted to help if needed.
We're grateful for the moisture in any form and pray that whatever occurs in the next few days and weeks will happen at a reasonable pace.
