Some of you may have
heard that in a few days thousands of individuals, government agencies, faith-based
organizations, community groups, schools and others in northern Utah will
participate in “The Great Utah ShakeOut” which is a drill to help Utah be
prepared for possible earthquakes. 90% of Utah, including Pine Valley is
located in the “seismic belt,” that is described in the ShakeOut literature,
and while we hope that an earthquake will never occur in our valley, it is
always better to be prepared. Future CERT training will focus on earthquake
preparation and response, but below are some links that you can look at to help you
be prepared.
